Good Week ( :

I absolutely adore Truth in Society-Previous to last week I was never overly excited to go to class, but this as changed. I am actually so glad that I realised I had to just go with the flow and trust the process. I had one of the best weeks in Aquinas this week : ) I am however a little sad that we will no longer be spending time in the three separate disciplines, I really love when we are spending separate times with each subject, ahh well. I am still excited to see where we are going from here and to see what’s going to happen next.

This week my favourite times were definitely in Journalism, I really enjoyed reading and discussing “The Fallen Man” it opened my eyes to so many different things. Steph’s point of what makes us better than them really weighs on my brain and I’m continuing to think about. Like her I agree that 9/ 11 hit a little closer to home but why is it okay for us to expose countries and culture’s that far away from us in similar ways to what we viewed in the picture? I see both sides I guess.. I’m just really curious about this and it’s something I plan on focusing a lot on.

All in all it was a good week, and I’m hoping all goes good from here on in, it was about this time last term this got bad, I’m hoping things are different this term (:

: )

This past week I went through a major reality check, I was forced to go home for a night and that really threw my off track with one night of traveling home, one sleep home, then back the next day I found myself three days behind in everything. However, I realize this and am aware that I no longer have wiggle room to slack off for the rest of the term.

Despite the fact I just wasn’t able to make it to all classes this week I am still so impressed with how the three disciplines are unfolding. I’m very excited to see how this term is already beginning to come together. The thing I like the most this term is the fact that journalism is actually getting some attention and we’re spending so much time on it, I love this. I had also never before realized the affect a journalist can have in the re-telling of an event. It’s amazing to look at the power a journalist has in telling the reader a story, or to look at how they can tap into our emotions.

I’ve also really come to appreciate what we’re doing in Religious Studies, I’m so glad we’re finally starting to dig into the topics we had originally picked.

Gettin back into it : )

So, when we first started again I was really exciting to see that we would be spending times in the three separate disciplines. I was even more excited to see a full schedule of what we’re going to do this semester, I feel like we will have no problem getting to our end point this semester. The learning I did this week was not in class, it was something I learnt from all my classes. I had done pretty decent in all my course when it came to marks, so when I first got back to school I thought that I was going to just fly through this semester with no problem. Well, I was very wrong I’ve definitely came to realize that I cannot put things off because I am going to fall behind, I already have. I’m just glad it’s only been a week and I can catch up.
